Switch medication from Pimozide to Lurasidon.

  • Day 1-7: gradually reduce the dose of pimozide to 50% of the dose.
  • Day 8-14: gradually reduce the dose of pimozide to 0% of the dose
  • Day 14: stop administration of pimozide.

  • Day 1-7: start administration of lurasidon in a dose of 40 mg/day.
  • Day 8-14: increase the dose of lurasidon to 80 mg/day if necessary. Note: Continue the dose of lurasidone 40 mg/day if the patiënt is stable.[1]
