Adding aripiprazole to quetiapine.
General information- Quetiapine is principally metabolized by CYP3A4 to active and inactive metabolites.
- Aripiprazole is metabolized by CYP2D6 and CYP3A4 to an active metabolite.
- There is no evidence published related to this drug combination recently. The combination will have additive side effects.
Start aripiprazole- Start aripiprazole according to the general dosing advice.
Cave- Agents with anticholinergic properties may have additive effects when used in combination. [4]
