Switch medication from duloxetine to agomelatine.[1] [2]

  • Before day 0: gradually reduce dosage of duloxetine to a maximum of 60 mg/ day, when this dosage is > 60 mg/day.
  • Day 1: reduce dosage of duloxetine from 60 mg/day to 30 mg/day.

  • Day 1: simultaneously start administration of agomelatine in a dosage of 25 mg/day.
  • Day 8: stop administration of duloxetine and only continue administration of agomelatine.
  • If necessary, increase dosage of agomelatine to 50 mg/day.
