Switch medication from duloxetine to nortriptyline.[1] [2]

  • Before day 0: gradually reduce dosage of bupropion to a maximum of 60 mg/day.
  • Day 1: reduce the dosage of duloxetine to 30 mg/day.

No wash-out period is needed.

  • Day 1: simultaneously start administration of nortriptyline in a low dosage of 25 mg/day.
  • Day 8: stop administration of duloxetine and increase the dosage of nortriptyline to 50 mg/day.

  • Caution is necessary at the start of administration of nortriptyline.
