Switch medication from imipramine to moclobemide.[1] [2]

  • Before day 1: gradually reduce dosage of imipramine to a maximum of 75 mg/ day, when this dosage is > 100 mg/day.
  • Day 1-3: reduce dosage of imipramine to 50 mg/day.
  • Day 4-7: reduce dosage of imipramine to 25 mg/day.
  • Day 8: stop administration of imipramine.

  • Day 8-14: a wash-out period of one week is necessary.
  • Day 15: start administration of moclobemide in a dosage of 150 mg/day.
  • Day 18: increase dosage of moclobemide to 300 mg/day.
