Switch medication from mianserine to dosulepine.[1] [2]

  • Day 0: gradually reduce dosage of mianserine to a maximum of 60 mg/ day.
  • Day 1: reduce a dosage of 60 mg/day to 30 mg/day.

No wash-out period is needed.

  • Day 1: simultaneously start administration of dosulepine in a dosage of 50 mg/day.
  • Day 8: stop administration of mianserine and continue administration of dosulepine only in a dosage of 75 mg/day. If necessary, increase the dosage of dosulepine.
  • Start low, go slow.
