* Escitalopram is a weak inhibitor of CYP2D6, which metabolizes vortioxeine.
* Occurrence of serotonin syndrome is theoretically possible, so caution is necessary.
* Patients could be directly switched from a SSRI or a SNRI to vortioxetine 10 mg/day.
