Clomipramine-fenelzine

Switch medication from clomipramine to fenelzine[1][2]
Stop clomipramine - Day 1: Decrease with about 25% of the original dose per 3 days.
- Stop and wait 10 days for washout
Start fenelzine- a wash-out period of 10 days is necessary.
- Start fenelzine in a low dosage of 15 mg, 3 times a day, for two weeks.
- After this two weeks the dosage of fenelzine can be increased.
Cave- Occurrence of the serotonin syndrome is possible without wash-out period.
