  • Before day 1: gradually reduce dosage of trazodone to a maximum of 150 mg/day, when this dosage is > 150 mg/day.
  • Day 1: reduce dosage of trazodone to 100 mg/day.
  • Day 4: stop administration of trazodone.
Eenrichtingbord.png Start tranylcypromine
  • Only a washout of 3 days (so start at Day 4) is necessarily when the dose of trazodone is >100 mg. When the dose of trazodone is =< 100mg, tranylcypromine can be started immediately
  • Start tranylcypromine in a low dosage of 20 mg/day for one week.
  • After this week the dosage of tranylcypromine can be increased.
