  • Administration of hypericum can be stopped abruptly.

  • Occurence of the serotonin syndrome is theoretically possible.
  • Hypericum slows the metabolism of citalopram/escitalopram via CYP3A4. This effect may persist up to two weeks after stopping hypericum, so caution is necessary.
