Switch medication from duloxetine to maprotiline.[1] [2]
- Before day 0: gradually reduce dosage of bupropion to a maximum of 60 mg/day.
- Day 1: reduce the dosage of duloxetine to 30 mg/day.
- Day 1: simultaneously start administration of maprotiline in a low dosage of 25 mg/day.
- Day 8: stop administration of duloxetine and increase the dosage of maprotiline to 50 mg/day.
- Duloxetine slows the metabolism of maprotiline by CYP2D6.
- Caution is necessary at the start of administration of maprotiline.
