Switch medication from trazodone to sertraline.[1] [2]
Stop trazodone - Before day 1: gradually reduce dosage of trazodone to a maximum of 150 mg/day, when this dosage is > 150 mg/day.
- Day 1: reduce dosage of trazodone to 100 mg/day.
- Day 4: stop administration of trazodone.
Start sertraline- Day 9-14: wash-out period
- Day 15: start administration of sertraline in a normal dosage of 50 mg/day.
