Fenelzine-bupropion

Switch medication from fenelzine to bupropion[1][2]
Stop fenelzine - Day 1: decrease the original dose with about 25% every 3 days.
- Day 9: stop administration of fenelzine.
Start bupropion- Day 10: start administration of bupropion in a dosage of 150 mg/day and gradually increase dose as necessary.
More information- After the last dose of tranylcypromine and/or fenelzine it takes about 14 days to restore the activity of the MAO enzymes[3]
- Fenelzine has to be phased out to avoid withdrawal symptoms.[4]
