- Risperidone is principally metabolized by CYP2D6 to an active metabolite 9-OH-risperidone (paliperidone).
- Quetiapine is principally metabolized by CYP3A4 to active and inactive metabolites.
- Risperidone is principally metabolized by CYP2D6 to an active metabolite.
- Quetiapine is principally metabolized by CYP3A4 to active and inactive metabolites.
- Start quetiapine according to the general dosing advice.
- Quetiapine may have additive adverse cardiovascular effects in combination with other drugs that are known to prolong the QT interval of the electrocardiogram. [6]
